GOD AND ME

Human beings are sociable by nature, that is, we need each other, contrary to what many people believe and think. And we can see this, for example, in the Bible.

If we take a look at the pages of the book of Genesis (the beginning – origin), we find in the first chapters that when God went to help or provide company for man, the first statement he made was: “It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him.” And if God says it, we must pay attention. First, because He does not lie; second, He knows all things and third, He always seeks the best for us. The above statement, and especially taking into account who makes it, allows us to affirm, without fear of being wrong, the following: man is a sociable being who cannot live, at least not well, without others. Nevertheless, the man or woman who intends to build a devotional life with the creator and sustainer of all things, must be clear that he or she must set aside days and hours in his or her daily life to be alone with God, since there is no other way to build a devotional life with Him. That is to say, in this determination, the human being must be clear that there are moments in the Christian life when the Christian must distance himself or herself from the crowd in order to enter into the Secret of God.

The reason for this teaching entitled “God and I (in the secret of God)” is to invite believers to reflect on the importance of balancing our sociable nature with the need to have a personal and deep relationship with God. Although we are called to live in community and need others, it is crucial that we learn to set aside moments in which we can be alone with God. Only in this way can we strengthen our devotional life, distancing ourselves from the crowd to enter into intimacy with the Creator, where He reveals His will to us and guides us in our spiritual journey. This teaching seeks to inspire Christians to cultivate a special time of communion with God, without distractions, to nourish their faith and their relationship with Him.
